MitOst is a mediator and promoter of cultural exchange in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. A non-profit organisation founded in 1996 which has been growing up to 1200 members in 40 countries so far.
MitOst carries out activities focusing on citizenship education, volunteering and cultural exchange in Europe. In its department for cultural exchange MitOst coordinates the program of the Robert Bosch Stiftung for “Cultural Managers from Central and Eastern Europe”, “Tamdem – cultural managers exchange between EU and Ukraine/Moldova” supported by the EU within Culture 2007-2013 and several other projects on international cultural management and placement for cultural managers, trans-sectorial exchange and the intercultural understanding through artistic projects.
