One inherent interest of our network is mediation of art. After having talked about best practices, worked on new models and experienced how we put it into practice in our organizations’ analog activities in the past months, here is a different approach to it: the digital perspective on it.
In recent years the question of how to talk, think, discuss and learn about art and culture using digital and electronic media seems to be striking. Do digital media and web 2.0 applications provide new models of access and exchange about art? Do they provide new means of generating knowledge about art and culture? The discussion addresses the mediation of art and culture through digital media, its current existing modes of usage and its future possibilities.
